Hi! I’m Erica, and I help people improve their content through my copyediting and proofreading services. I specialize in education materials, but I am open to other nonfiction projects as well.

I officially launched Erica Williams Editorial Services in January 2021, but I have been professionally reviewing written communication since 2008.

I’m a former award-winning teacher who has taught a bit of everything, but I spent most of my decade in the classroom teaching reading and writing intervention classes to students with disabilities. Because of this experience, I’m an expert at making curriculum accessible for diverse learners without compromising the intended rigor. I can help you ensure your content is inclusive, aligned, and engaging.

Most of the work I do is with large public schools on curriculum projects, but I also work on smaller projects with individuals.

I have a master’s degree in education from the University of Missouri – St. Louis, and I have a certificate in copyediting from the University of California – San Diego. I studied grant writing and nonprofit management at the University of California – Los Angeles, and I studied technical writing at Cal State – East Bay.

I live in Los Angeles. I love reading, practicing tai chi, and walking at the beach with my dogs. I’m one of the few book nerds who will admit that I absolutely love TV.
